Welcome to Wall Street Institute
Team Hamburg Valentinskamp!

Steve
Center Director
Hi, I'm Steve, born in the Uk and raised (for most of my life) in sunny Australia. After living here in Germany as a child I decided some years ago to return to Germany which is where my career with Wall Street Institute began. I now love living in Hamburg with my family and enjoy managing our two Centres at Gänsemarkt and in Eppendorf. My passion is guiding our students to become proficient in the English Language and adding touch of Australianess too.

Michael
Language Consultant
Hi,
I am Michael. I grew up in Göttingen and moved to Hanover in 2000. After doing a course at Wall Street Institute, Hanover, I decided with the Director in Hanover to work as Language Consultant and got the job in May 2003. I used to work there until the end of 2007. I like the atmosphere in the centers and the method to learn English with a lot of practice. After a break I am happy to be back now in Hamburg. I would be glad to meet you and to show you how we learn English. See you soon and if you have any questions please send an Email to:m.dittrich©wallstreetinstitute,de

Originally from the sweeping hills of the Yorkshire Dales in Northern England I now live in Hamburg with my family. I have travelled far and wide in the last 20 years and I never imagined that I would end up in Hamburg but thankfully I did as it is such a wonderful city. I do miss the English Pub and beer but the WSI social club pub night gives me a good reason to reminisce -hope to see you there one day and in our centre.

Hi everybody, I’m from the sunny Island of Jamaica and have been teaching at WSI for over 6 years, in Essen, Lucca (Italy) and now Hamburg. I’ve been a teacher since I left college many years ago and I’ve taught both children and adults, but I find teaching adults more rewarding because we get to share experiences and opinions on a wide range of topics as well as improving our grammar and vocabulary. It’s exciting and self motivating.

Hi there, I originally come from a tiny village near Quedlinburg and moved to Hamburg in 2007. Before starting at WSI I used to teach English and German to foreigners. During my studies I spent some time in Gothenburg, Sweden, and a couple of years in Great Britain. I could not quite bring myself to live there for good but back in Germany I missed the people and the language. So working in an English speaking environment in Hamburg is the perfect way to combine everything I like, including helping students to learn English and to organize their course.

Hi. Originally from Dundee in Scotland, I have spent time living in the US, Spain, Austria and Germany. I moved to Hamburg in September 2011 so all is pretty new to me but somehow I already feel quite at home and the ‘Hamburgers’ contact group in my phone is steadily filling up. I find Hamburg a good size as it has all the advantages of a big city but is somehow also like a village. I studied Spanish and German with translating and interpreting in Edinburgh then went on to do my CELTA for English teaching after I graduated. Wall Street is a good place to work as the staff and students are all fab. In my spare time you’ll find me on my bike (trying to avoid pedestrians, cars and other cyclists), at the climbing wall (trying to avoid death) or just relaxing with some music in my wonderful new flat.

Also from England, I haven't lived in Hamburg for that long, in fact I only arrived at the beginning of 2006! I left behind my life as a landscape gardener in the west country to join my lovely girlfriend here and to welcome our first baby into the world. When not teaching I can be found zooming around Hamburg on my bicycle, being stopped by policemen for going too fast on the wrong side of the road!(It's an English thing) I also enjoy travelling and gardening as a hobby when I get the chance – just don't ask me about houseplants!

Hey there! My name is Sarah and I grew up between cows and fields in the very north of Germany. That's why I really enjoy living in Hamburg. Even though I love it here you'll find me travelling to other countries as often as possible. I've done a trip around the world for half a year and it's just awesome how many different and interesting people you meet and become friends with on your way. Knowing how to speak English was a big advantage and I really like helping other people learning the language. So see you soon!

Katerina
Personal Tutor
Hi there! My name is Katerina and I was born in Athens, Greece. I have been living in Germany since 2006 and before that I studied hospitality management in London. My love for languages and different cultures brought me to WSI and I must say, that I really enjoy assisting the students with their language needs.
I hope to see you soon in our centre.

Originally from England, I love the wonderful (!) Hamburg weather because it reminds me of London and that’s the main reason I ended up in this beautiful city. In my free time, I like to travel and take photographs. One of the original staff members, I have been with Wall Street Institute since January 2002 and enjoy helping people to learn my native language.

Head Personal Tutor
Hello! I have been working at Wall Street Institute Hamburg since 2001 and am still enjoying the friendly and international atmosphere in the centre. Before that, I worked in a music shop, did translations and various other jobs. Besides English, my special interest is Northern European languages. Living abroad for several years has taught me the struggles and difficulties of language learners, and the importance of communication skills. That’s why I like to help our students to master a new language, and I am looking forward to meeting you!
