Welcome to Wall Street Institute
Team Sprachschule Bonn!

Ruth
Corporate Assistant
Hello, I'm Ruth and I've been at Wall Street Institute Bonn the longest. I've been here since before it opened in 2001. You won't see me everyday as I have two other (very young) students, my children who are busy learning English too. When they're older they will learn Welsh if they want to as I come from Wales. But don't worry, I don't have a strong Welsh accent so you won't leave any of my classes with me sounding like you come from Aber-ponty-Tybach-toot, as we say in Wales. Ask me one day what that means and I may even translate it!

Wendy
Teacher
Hi, my name is Wendy and I'm from London. After my A-Levels I taught English in a school in Zimbabwe for a year. Back in London, I studied Nursing and Midwifery at the University of London and worked as a midwife there. Last year, I came to Germany and did a CELTA course at the Hamburg School of English. I joined the fantastic team at Wall Street Institute in April 2009 and haven't looked back since! My hobbies include indoor climbing, reading and travelling. I play the cello and have recently joined an orchestra in Bonn. I love motorbikes and have been on many exciting tours around Europe. One day, I hope to buy a new motorbike and explore more of Germany on two wheels!

Svetlana
Personal Tutor
Hello, I'm Svetlana, a northern girl from Russia where I studied foreign languages and methods of teaching at the University of Humanities in Kirov. The reason why I'm in Germany is my husband. I married him and moved to Germany in 2005. In 2008 I joined the international and friendly team at the WSI in Bonn and I really enjoy working here.
In my free time I love watching movies, dancing, reading books, travelling, crocheting and doing Yoga.
I think my educational background and practical experience of working with people will help you to improve your English. I'm looking forward to seeing you.

Simone
Senior Language Consultant
Hello, I am Simone! After my year as an Au-pair in the United States, I've done my apprenticeship in a 5-star hotel in Frankfurt.
After 2 years working experience, still in Frankfurt, I worked in a restaurant on a big sailing ship, the Sea Cloud, for 1 year. Then I decided to lead a "normal" life again and moved to Cologne, where I worked as the Administrative Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.
I love working together with all different kinds of people. Therefore I am very excited about my new position at WSI, it is great being part of such a great team! In my free time I go to the gym, play squash, ride a bike, meet with my friends. I love travelling and to be able to use my English skills. I am looking forward seeing you here!

Ali

Hello everyone!
I am Gört and will help you find out what will be the best way for you to learn or to improve your English skills. Before joining the Wall Street family, I lived in San Diego, where I went to university, and Switzerland, where I worked for a Real Estate Company. Although I enjoyed life in both places I always wanted to move back to Germany. So here I am! Hope to see you soon.

Mike
Teacher
Hello!
I'm Mike, from Colorado! I am new here to Germany, I have been here for only a few months. A bit about me: I love languages! I love learning them, I have learned Spanish, Italian, and French, and now I am working on German! I especially love English, and enjoy teaching all of its particularities. Other than that I am a travelling freak, I adore meeting people, (especially strange, interesting people!) and I enjoy going out. I spend a large part of my time running too, I train for marathons. And I think the biggest waste in life is the time we have to spend sleeping!

Hello, my name is Charlotte and I come from Ghent, a beautiful city in the Flemish part of Belgium.
I studied speech therapist in Bruges and Audiology in Ghent. Straight after my studies, I started working as a broker in a credit insurance company.
Since August 2011 I live in Bonn. The city is great and the international character of it is amazing.
I feel a lucky one to be able to join the Wall Street team of Bonn. It is very enriching working in a team with all these different backgrounds.
I llike reading, cycling and horse-riding. I love horses and I really hope to own one someday!
I’m looking forward to welcome you at Wall Street.

Esperanza
Teacher
After having finished my BA in Communication and Cultural Studies, I spent nearly 4 years in Asia (South Korea and The Philippines) teaching English and writing textbooks. I then returned to Canada to get my TEFL/TESL certificate and now, by some fortunate twist of fate, I find myself here in beautiful and charming Bonn. I am interested in everything that involves the development and understanding of human expression and interaction. This is why I love traveling, writing, dancing, performing, learning languages, and teaching! Language learning is a very dynamic and enriching process which not only enables us to verbally communicate with others, but more importantly, it gives us access to other cultures, builds our identity, and changes the way we relate with others. I really look forward to helping you as you make your way through this challenging, but also thrilling process. -A few facts about me: I’ve eaten live octopus , my favorite singer is Chet Baker, and I am deeply fascinated by artichokes.

I grew up in London and, after four years working abroad, joined the friendly WSI team in Bonn. I've been in Germany two years now and I enjoy the mix of learning German and teaching English. I hope to meet you soon !

Tamara
Personal Tutor
Hey, my name is Tamara and I have the pleasure to be one of your Personal Tutors in Bonn, where I was born and grew up -in a small village nearby.
After having completed my training as Commercial Assistant for Foreign Languages with English and French, I started working for WSI in March 2010 (studying Tourism Management at the same time).
Being in contact with people and working in a family atmosphere is very important to me … so WSI is the perfect choice for me! In my leisure time I love hanging around with my family and friends, cooking is my passion, I love to have good food at a friend’s house or restaurant and going out in general. I have a soft spot for Astrid Lindgren’s stories (remind me of my childhood) and the desire for travelling has always been strong in me … there are so many places to see!
I am looking forward to welcoming you at our homelike center in Bonn and supporting you throughout your course!
